Anthomanic is a unique event floral design & styling boutique based in Stafford, Virginia. Our services are available for worldwide travel [if flowers can be shipped there/acquired there, we are available!].
Event design to us is fashion – it’s architecture – it’s art. You can set a scene, set a mood, and tell a story through your event. Our work is more than just ‘flower arrangements’, it’s about creating an atmosphere with the right combination of colors, containers, props, linens and flower types. We are here to advise you on and discuss with you all those elements that will give your party ambiance and character, helping you to select just the right pieces. Every event tells a story, whether it’s a wedding, baby shower, or intimate dinner party with friends, our goal is to take your vision and make it more captivating than you thought possible!
Some awesome people have been kind enough to interview us and showcase our work over the past few years, including Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons, Rock N Roll Bride, Southern Weddings, Wedding Planner Magazine, Virginia Bride Magazine and numerous blogs, podcasts, newspapers, and online magazines [click here to read or listen to any of these!].
History: Anthomanic was the name given to our event floral design business that was started in the basement of Amanda’s parent’s home in 2009 when she was trying to find her way in the world after graduating college. The event floral design business grew, and Amanda stumbled upon an opportunity to rent a cheap retail space. Anthomanic then became a retail flower shop providing daily walk in flower bouquets and centerpieces. Since then, our wedding and event business has grown wildly; so much so that our business has become a favorite in the area for custom florals for events. In May 2012, due to that overwhelming and unexpected success of the events portion of the business, Amanda transformed the business back to it’s roots – back to her passion for custom event floral design with the best in personalized and in depth client attention.
What’s up with the name Anthomanic? Amanda has a history of making up random words and names, so naming the business was no different. Anthomania by definition is the extravagant fondness of flowers, which became the word ‘anthomanic’.
