So, there’s many shoots and weddings I haven’t yet blogged … let’s get started with a gorgeous shoot from last fall!
I was asked to be a part of the big reveal for the new wedding venue, Big Spring Farm in Lexington, Virginia! Katelyn James was photographing it, and Jill Powers (a.k.a. Jillian Michelle Photography) owns the venue with her husband Buddy! I love surprises! It was top secret news that they would be opening the venue and didn’t want to reveal anything about it until they had it complete and the website up and running – so it was super fun to be involved in something to exciting for them!
I just LOVED this floral crown and bouquet … soooo elegant, soft, but yet fitting for late summer or early fall! I used lots of fun textures and a mixed color palette (the color palette of coral and peach was requested by Jill!) to fit with the natural surroundings: dahlias, geranium leaves, ranunculus, juliet garden roses, spray roses, antique green hydrangeas, various foliage types – including a feather and seeded eucalyptus.
