Fall is a time for warm colors, campfires, cozy knit sweaters and warm drinks! I just love a good fall themed bridal bouquet. I just love flowers in general! But, there’s something about an amber and gold bouquet that just reminds me of apple cider and yummy food! Valerie wanted a bouquet for her first look in DC – which made for some awesome background “landscape”. I’m used to rolling hills, woods, gardens and farm type of backdrops for my usual Central VA weddings, so it’s fun to have a different type of backdrop for bride and groom wedding day shots! Her bouquet was full of gorgeous dahlias, protea, calla lilies, scabiosa pods, safari sunset, stock flower and roses.
These two got married back in 2012, which now seems like ages ago, but honestly it seems like it was ‘just yesterday’! These two now have a beautiful new baby girl that was born almost two months before Bane was! So, it was nice to have someone else to follow along with a baby bump progress!!
My favorite part of a first look is the groom reaction – a moment when you feel like a million bucks!
How stinkin’ cute are these two together!? You can just tell by looking at them together that they are the best of friends!
Love these shots! … am I the only one that calls the one on the right ‘the pencil’?!? I’ve called it that since childhood and still don’t ever remember what it’s called simply because I’m so used to calling it ‘the pencil’. My dad totally laughed at me the other day for it!!
