My sister’s Mother-in-law contacted me tonight about offering classes at the local church for those interested in learning how to make flower arrangements. I have been wanting to start doing workshops and this pushes me to get started! I have been thinking of what types of classes to offer to those interested. I would love feedback as to maybe what type of arrangement you would like to learn to make!
Classes that would provide extensive information about design skill, techniques, tips, tricks and other trade secrets that us floral designers don’t just go giving away — we would need to require a hefty class fee….but for the basic ‘how to make a flower arrangement’ type of class, we can easily offer that at a great rate where you can come enjoy some snacks, drinks and learn how to make a flower arrangement, then take it home with you!
Some ideas I had for the summer time were design ideas for summer BBQ party centerpieces, which would involve using flowers that will put up with warmer temperatures in our homes :)
I was an interior architecture & art major in college and would love to offer any other information classes!
I am also going to start a YouTube instructional video channel about the non-trade-secret-ish types of things, but in order to get hands-on one-on-one design training, you would want to attend one of the workshops!
I welcome any and all comments and suggestions! :) Thanks:)
