Many of my brides live out of town, so sometimes I never even get to meet the bride! Shelby’s mother was helping her to plan the wedding from afar, and we Skyped with Shelby when it was time for her Design & Planning Session! Her mom also wanted to surprise her with special touches, and the pergola was a BIG surprise. She had NO idea that we were designing this gorgeous piece! It was hard to keep such a large focal point a secret, but we managed to do it!
Flowers used for her wedding: Dahlias, black baccara roses, circus roses, uhluhe fern curls, sword ferns, hanging amaranthus, seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus, salal, scabiosa pods, stock flowers, alstroemeria, and hypericum berries.
This wedding took place on a Sunday at brunch at Glasgow Farm, in my hometown of Stafford (well, it’s technically considered ‘Fredericksburg’). It was awesome to be able to design a wedding ten minutes from my house! They had an intimate group of 30 guests – but didn’t hold back on the show stopping flowers! How beautiful and photogenic is this barn?! The ceremony took place upstairs with the beautiful ambiance of the cafe lights — so so cute!
