I almost lost my voice after this workshop from talking so much, but it was so worth it! We covered so much info in such a short period of time of just two days. The first day always leaves even me feeling like I’m on information overload! The first day is so so packed full of design skills, tips, tricks and techniques. We basically hit the ground running the first day and design a bridal bouquet, boutonniere, corsages, a grande and a petite centerpiece. So, day one is EXHAUSTING to us all. Then, day two is a little slower paced because we’re only designing one large structure – a floral canopy…I mean, look at this thing! Kat of Dear Sweetheart Events joined me in styling this shoot — I just love her! She was also one of my brides from 2013 – see her wedding here.
My little sister modeled for this shoot — she pretty much wants to model anytime Rachel is involved…we just love her!! If you’ve never worked with Rachel before, just know you’re in for a real treat if you ever do! She is hilarious — it’s never a dull moment, she is just so much fun! Formal Envy provided the gown – and I wish you could see the details, it’s tiny polka dots!! Brianna Adams, the hair stylist, was also my sister Tabitha’s wedding hair stylist a few years ago! Brianna always does a fantastic job — I wish she could just follow me around and style my hair everyday! Emma Sanz was the makeup artis, and is one of the most talented artists I’ve ever gotten to work with — she rocks my socks off! … I’m actually bummed she’s moving to NC and not staying here!
Somehow Paisley & Jade always has the perfect pieces to coordinate with the shoots I do! My girl, Morgan, is the bees knees when it comes to doing shoots with me! I just tell her the coloring, theme, style and she pretty much shows up with the perfect pieces!
How yummy is that Silk & Willow fabric piece?! … and YUMMM that bouquet!
